Q: Are Materials Provided and Included in the Cost of the Class?
A: No, please bring along paper, pencils, charcoal and erasers or whatever your preferred medium is. Q: Is there an instructor?
A: Yes, but only if you want feedback. The class is mostly self-guided.

A: As a warm-up we start with four 5 minute poses, followed by a 15-minute pose, and capped off with a three or four 30-minute poses to end the night with. This is the typical format, but not necessarily what is done 100% of the time.

Suggested Supplies List...
- Paper: Strathmore is a common, quality brand found in places like Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Joanne's. There are special kinds of paper for watercolor or pastels, so keep and eye out based on what medium you are using.
-Pencils: For life drawing, working loosely tends to be more effective for the time allotted than taking a tight and detailed approached. An Ebony Graphite pencil from a reliable brand like Prismacolor is effective for a loose approach. A Pentel mechanical pencil is effective for a tight, detailed but more time consuming approach.

Participants must agree to follow a few guidelines during the Figure drawing session. This Meetup's Host reserves the right to refuse drawing to anyone not adhering to the guidelines below:
No electronics with cameras, and all phones silenced throughout the figure drawing session. NO PHOTOGRAPHY. Clean up after yourself. Respect the models, respect the gallery space and respect the artwork.
